A never-before-seen, almost 80 years old Rolex Panerai 3646 with sought-after Einsatzgruppe Keller – Kampfschwimmer engravings has surfaced at the German auction house Kastern GmbH & Co KG in Hannover. The Ref. 3646 Panerai watch with the “HK” initials and “Einsatzgruppe Keller” caseback engraving is in our database since 2005. The initial onion shaped winding crown has been replaced with a Rolex Oyster crown of a different type. CHAPTER IX.I features “The Rösel Radiomir” – a Ref. 3646 / Type C with anonymous “Kampfschwimmer” dial and Rolex Cal. 618 / Type 1 movement.
