Somehow both divinely clean – like a disinfecting tussle with a bonfire – and sacrilegiously filthy, it’s monolithic, recognisable and detailed.
Nosing and wearing the current I have found that Chanel Antaeus, while very good for the Contemporary palate, the Animalic used is rather flat and ultimately bitter. It is similar to the Animalic used in the latest Hermes Eau d'Hermes.

Both are good, but Kouros is on another level for me. That said, the newest Kouros isn't quite the same as the older stuff - it's essentially missing that honeyed 'urinous' base it's famous for. If it was modern Kouros vs modern Antaeus, I'd like to test further. In terms of vintage Kouros VS vintage Antaeus: I would go with vintage Kouros. While both of the vintages are heavy on animalics, there is nothing out there better balanced than vintage Kouros. It's a beast in a tuxedo, and Pierre Bourdon's best work by far.
