Made from 98.6 percent recycled materials by weight, the watch represents the highest percentage of recycled-based material ever used in watchmaking.The "Panerai Ocean Conservation Endeavor" project, developed in conjunction with IOC-UNESCO as part of the UN Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development's ocean literacy programme, will benefit from this initiative as well. In 2021, Panerai launched its worldwide educational campaign “Panerai Ocean Conservation Initiative”. This campaign aimed to enlighten students on how a luxury brand like Panerai, can be a force for good for the planet thanks to its serious commitment to sustainability.
This initiative will contribute as well to the “Panerai Ocean Conservation Initiative” mission developed in partnership with IOC-UNESCO in the framework of the ocean literacy program of the UN Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development.
